The design of the horticulture area is carefully laid out. It's created from a square bisected by pathways. The four quarters are designated for different crops and there is a focus on growing vegetables and flowers biodynamically.
The design is based on the golden section. Each bed is proportioned according to this special ratio of harmony.
The raised beds are made of oak to a depth of 40cms. They are lined and filled with a mixture of topsoil, compost, JPR gold soil conditioner which is a blend of topsoil and manure.
The produce is returned to the school for use in the kitchens.
