Unit Overview: This unit is designed to give trainees on an RMT holding the possibility to explore the animal from a phenomenological perspective. This is focussed around physiology as an expression of the inherent principles at play in an animal organism. The perspective of animal is further broadened to include context and how the animal relates and contributes to the whole farm organism. The learner is encouraged throughout to develop their observation skills and widen their understanding of the animal.
1.1 Compare two species of farm animals using a phenomenological approach
1.2 Describe the being of a chosen species of farm animal
2.1 Illustrate the role and importance of animals to the whole farm
